Egyption 116mw Project
May 30 (Renewables Now) - China’s Wuxi Suntech Power Co Ltd will be supplying solar modules to Italian company Enerray SpA for a project in Aswan, Egypt, it was announced on Wednesday.
The Chinese company will be shipping STP330-24/vfw (1500V) modules with an undisclosed total volume for the project. Deliveries are expected by the end of the third quarter.
In March, Enerray and UAE-based Desert Technologies Industries Co Ltd announced they will install three solar parks in Egypt with a combined capacity of 116 MWp, as part of the 1.8-GW Benban solar complex in Aswan province.
Enerray and Desert Technologies aim to commission the PV parks in the second quarter of next year. The partners will also operate and maintain the plants, which will operate under a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC).
